Studied interior architecture at NHIBS (Nationaal Hoger Instituut voor Bouwkunst en Stedebouw) in Antwerp with Professor Architect Jul de Roover and Annie de Decker Art history.
Started to work in theater as a set designer in the late seventies and early eighties.
Is still a member of the Plastik Bags a Belgian punkrock group based in Antwerp.
Lived in New York in 1981 and 1983 and worked in theater as a set and lighting designer Off Off Broadway.
